iPad Air 2 & 3 repair in Culver City.

The Air 2 was the first iPad with a laminated display, which is why it looked so much better than the iPad before it — and why its screen repair costs more than a standard iPad of similar age. Both it and the Air 3 keep the Home button with Touch ID and a Lightning port.

What usually goes wrong on this one

At this age batteries have usually lost meaningful capacity, and swollen batteries turn up often enough to be worth watching for — if the screen is lifting away from the frame at one edge, stop using it and bring it in.

Not sure that's your iPad?

A 9.7 or 10.5-inch iPad with a Home button, Lightning port, and a screen with no visible air gap between the glass and the image underneath.

iPad Air 2 & 3 questions

The screen is lifting at one corner. What is that?

Usually a swelling battery pushing the display up from inside. It is a safety issue — stop charging it and bring it in.

Is it worth repairing an iPad this old?

Sometimes. We will give you the honest answer at the free diagnostic rather than talking you into a repair that costs more than the iPad is worth.
