Phone & computer repair for Venice.

Straight inland on Washington or Venice Blvd.

Venice sits on the coast directly west of the shop, and the whole trip inland stays on surface streets. Living and working a few blocks from the sand has two specific consequences for hardware: salt in the air corrodes exposed metal, and fine sand finds its way into every open port. Charging connectors and speaker grilles take the worst of both.

Getting here from Venice

We're east of you

Head east on Washington Blvd or Venice Blvd into Culver City, then turn south on Sepulveda Blvd to Ste. D. Free parking on site — worth noting if you are used to circling for a space near the beach.

If your phone has been in sand or seawater, do not put it in rice and do not plug it in to see if it still works — charging a wet board is how a recoverable phone becomes an unrecoverable one. Power it off and bring it in. Flat-rate ultrasonic cleaning for iPhones is $99 and includes a full inspection for corrosion.

Coming from Venice

Questions we get from the 90291

Sand is stuck in my charging port — can that be cleaned?

Usually yes, and cleaning is far cheaper than replacing the port. Bring the cable you have been using too, since a worn cable is often part of the problem.

My phone went in the ocean. What now?

Power it off, leave it off, and bring it in as soon as you can. Saltwater corrodes faster than fresh water, so the same-day window matters more than usual.
